Size: 8ft 4in x 6ft 2in (255 x 188cm).

Antique rug with tribal design from the Shiraz region, probably by settled weavers from the Khamseh or Qashqai tribe.

Circa 1920.

A good rug with triple medallions, the rug contains many tribal design elements. The rug has excellent soft wool and a very pleasing warm colour palette. The rug is dated to the top corners 1340 which translates to 1921.

Very good condition with very slight even wear and good pile. The wool is very soft and glossy.

Hand washed and ready for use.

An excellent furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
