Antique Baluch double faced vanity bag with original long tassels.
Circa 1900.
This small vanity bag was made by the Baluch nomads of Sistan Province, south east Afghanistan. The bag has piled faces to both sides, the ivory border contains the star and bar design. The tassels are complete with the original small shells, the edge bindings are in goats hair.
The vanity bag is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile.
The bag has been hand washed and is ready for display. A scarce collectible tribal item.
