The Tekke wove a large number of items, mainly for their domestic use, but rarely do their main carpets come in this large size. It allows for the guls to be better spaced and for the design to 'breath', as in this piece. Note how the guls are more circular in certain places and more elongated in others. The secondary guls are nicely drawn with subtle shades of green and sapphire blue. Note also the quadrupeds in some of the secondary guls. The lovely terracotta background colour of the field is highly decorative and would work well in many decorative settings.
