Chinese Cloisonne Lidded Vase on Carved Wooden Lacquered Stand.

19th century
Description

Fine heavy antique Chinese cloisonne lidded vase with golden decorated cells on a black background with flowers, buds and butterflies in hues of pinks greens and purples, with golden accents.

The inside and underside of the vase is finished in a rich turquoise enamel.

The vase comes on an intricately carved wooden lacquered stand, and measures 19cm tall - 24cm on its stand and is 14cm wide. It is in excellent 'used' condition, with the surface wear to be expected with a vase of this age, ( as can be seen on the main yellow flower) and the lacquered stand has some flaking to the varnish on the top of the stand - which isn't visible at all when the vase is sitting on it.
