Howard And Sons Chaplin Model Fully Stamped Sofa Circa 1880

This elegant and extremely comfortable Howard and Sons Chaplin model sofa, has been reupholstered to a very high standard in Howard and Sons monogrammed ticking. There are two large feather and down filled removable cushions to the seat base. The sweeping arms and highback are both cushioned. The sofa is set upon square tapered legs, finishing on stamped Howard and Sons brass casters. One of the back legs is numbered and stamped Howard and Sons, Berners Street, see images for details.
This sofa is the epitome of country house style and comfort.
