Antique Heriz carpets in this size rarely appear, especially as pretty as this. Although woven in the first quarter of the 20th century, the wool quality is still good, and the dyes are all natural. The design is an all-over repeat of stylised leaves and palmettes arranged in a charming manner. This is a happy carpet, well-suited to modern or traditional living spaces. It has thick lustrous pile which has survived well through the generations, while the original ends and sides are intact. A rare little carpet.
