William IV Mahogany Galleried Dressing Table

Description

This superb William lV dressing table with gadrooned edge in the manner of Gillows, has one long drawer over two cupboards with drop down doors. The dressing table stands on four turned legs, the front two reeded.

The condition is very good, the piece stands firmly and evenly and the colour and patina are rich. The handles have been changed at some point, but this has been well executed.

This is an extremely versatile piece of furniture, we have described it as a dressing table but it would also serve equally well as a desk or a very decorative side or hall table.
