Description

This lovely happy rug has several special features. The weave is uncommonly fine with a thin pile which has resulted in great clarity to the design. This contrasts with the typical Karaja rug which normally has a thicker pile with a rustic appearance to the design. The wool on this rug is remarkably soft and the natural dyes are bright and vibrant. Lots of scattered geometric ornaments around the classic three-medallion field design. Note also the pretty terracotta border. The squarish format is also attractive and makes this rug a useful size for lots of different spaces. One can see this delightful rug fitting into many types of decorative schemes, both traditional and contemporary. It has survived the generations in very good condition, with good even pile. professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
