A fabulous vintage silk rug, hand woven in Kashan circa 1940s with an intricate floral design on a plum red field and deep indigo border. Very finely woven in silk on a silk foundation with 8 knots per centimetre.
Size: 2.06m x 1.30m (6ft 9in x 4ft 3in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Small old repair in border (see photos). The fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
