A lovely all over lattice design antique Kurdish runner, woven around 1890 in and in overall nice condition. With a rarer ivory main ground colour, the natural dyes of soft red, pink and green are wonderful and faded. Coming from the Caucasus and the Kurdish weavers of the North-West of Persia, a decorative antique runner ideal for a corridor or hall.
Woven in a loom in the ground, these were often taken up when the Kurd weavers would move onto pastures new. When laid flat on the floor with our underlay it would and a lot of charm to a space.
