Giacomo Barri After Paolo Veronese, the Adoration of the Shepherds, Nativity - Antique Etching

19th century
Description

A fine etching by Giacomo Barri (1636-1690) after a work by Paolo Veronese (1528-1588). It depicts the adoration of the shepherds at the birth of Christ. The etching was created in 1667 and this 19th-century version is most probably a restrike using the original plate.

The etching is housed within a good later frame.
