A lovely tribal antique Bakshaish runner woven with an all over geometric design. A very soft wool pile on this antique runner which dates from 1890-1900. Wonderful dye change can be seen in the main field colour from blue to greenish blues to brown tones, then back to blue. The weaver would have run out of certain wool colours and used a completely different batch at the time. Which really adds to the charm and beauty of antique runners.
