Description

The Belouch are a nomadic tribe that migrated in the Eastern regions of Persia and in southern Afghanistan. They are known for weaving enigmatic rugs in subdued tones with archaic ornamentation. This example has decorative appeal. It has pretty colours with a fine weave and a thin even pile. Good natural dyes and silky handspun wool. Interesting Turkman-influenced ornamentation. Note the intact kilim ends. In good original condition, clean and ready for immediate use.
