Nineteenth Century Burr Walnut Bureau on Stand

Description

A delightful nineteenth century bureau with burr walnut inlaid flap and its original lock with key. The interior has a leather writing surface with three drawers and secret compartments to the rear of each Yet again no gold sovereigns were left in the secret compartments The section below the slope has a number of drawers as does the stand which is is on beautifully turned legs and cross stretchers The top of the bureau has a swing mirror with its original glass and very appealing slight mottling
