It is certain that the armour is Italian, most likely Milanese. Judging from the fashion of its breastplates and gauntlets the armour can be dated to about 1570-80.
The overall impression that the armour gives is similar to the products attributed to Lucio Marliano called (Piccinino) or his circle.
