10ct Gold Propelling Pencil By Sampson Mordan C.1895

A superior Victorian telescopic sliding mechanism Propelling Pencil. The pattern is a neat engine turned style. When fully extended the Sampson Mordan Arrow Mark indicating 10 carat gold is revealed (also tested 10ct gold). There is a screw top cap at the top to reveal a reservoir for holding the leads. There is a small engraving of the initials ''VS near the leaded end. There is a brass insert from where the pencil leads protrude.
