Below, there is large fitted drawer that pulls out and is self-supporting on sliding stays. There is a finely tooled leather writing surface with a cross banded edge that can be pushed back to reveal a fully fitted interior with a central adjustable mirror and an assortment of lidded containers and compartments for personal items. Below there is a shaped kneehole with a smaller drawer to each side all of which are veneered vertically in figured flame mahogany and all have original handles and locks. This very elegant and most useful table stands on six square tapered legs with moulded spade feet. This rare piece is in excellent condition and retains a fine colour and beautifully patinated original surfaces.
