Old Tabriz Rug with Hunting Design on a Green Ground, Circa 1930.

Description

Size: 7ft 2in x 4ft 7in (218 x 140cm).

Old Tabriz rug with the hunting design to the field, many small birds and animals are drawn within the very fine floral design.

Circa 1930.

The rug is unusual in having a green ground, the border is very well drawn with cartouches containing birds and animals. The rug has a signature panel in the top border with the name of the workshop where the rug was made.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
