Description

Woven in three narrow strips and then sewn together, this is a striking piece of eastern textile art, dating to around 1900. The combination of colours gives the piece dynamism and movement. Beautifully made using wonderful dyes and a combination of weaving techniques, this piece was made for domestic use in north-west Persia around the beginning of the 20th century. Today it feels incredibly modern and sophisticated, and would work equally well as wall art or as a floor covering in a western home. Professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
