Antique Ushak Carpet

Description

Amazing large antique Ushak carpet with golden colours, using a soft red background and a deep yellow border.  This carpets palette really glows and is full of charm. With a large stylised leaf and abstract floral motif pattern, a wonderful open pattern to use in a room. The greens and blues which have been used for the motifs compliments the other dyes so well.  A truly beautiful oversize antique carpet from the late 19th century.

Condition is very good indeed, with most of the carpet showing a nice pile throughout.  Only a few slightly lower areas, with some minimal losses to the outer border at both ends.
