Description:
Antique English pewter Inkstand or Standish with twin hinged flaps, one side with three compartments for the original inkwell, sand sprinkler and wafer; the other side is a full length compartment for pens. The inkstand has four inverted cup feet. The original inkwell is still present.
Condition:
The condition is fair with a polished silver finish with some oxide still remaining; there is an old repair to the hinge and one of the feet looks to have been re-attached.
