Old Afghan Baluch balisht face, balisht were storage bags used to keep either grain or personal belongings in.

Circa 1920.

The bag face is piled with an attractive faded soft colour palette, the diamond lattice design is simple yet very effective.

The bag face is in good condition with even wear and fair pile, lower in a few spots.

This would be useful as a small mat suitable for normal domestic use.
