Description

This is an antique Kurdish runner carpet dating from around 1900. The carpet has a nicely abrashed deep blue field and columns of pretty stylised plants and flowers to the design in warm red, saffron ivory, and deep Kufic borders. The rug is in good order with a good pile; there is a small historic repair and a little wear to the ends as photographed. The carpet has a good even pile and looks fabulous down. This has been cleaned and is ready to give years of service.

The runner has neat proportions measuring 435 cms by 80 cms.
