Antique Baluch rug with lattice design. A rug of fine weave and soft wool.

Circa 1880.

A superb Baluch rug with a fine latch hook medallion lattice design in alternate rows of different shades of madder red and indigo blue. The rug is of complex design and surely represents the pinnacle of the weavers ability.

The rug is in good condition with slight wear and good pile. There is some corrosion to the browns giving a sculpted effect.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
