Size: 8ft 3in x 5ft 7in (252 x 171cm).

Antique Qashqai rug, with herati lattice design.

Circa 1880.

A very good tribal Qashqai rug with a scarce design, the large scale herati are in an all over diamond lattice deign, the soft pastel colours stand out against the indigo blue field. Each part of the lattice is filled with tribal design elements such as rosette flower heads. The boarder is of a classic Qashqai design with the top end containing stars, both ends retain the original checker board design.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, excellent soft wool and fine weave. The sides are bound with a traditional barber pole finish.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
