Rich elegant antique Heriz carpet which is very finely woven with a stunning medallion design and vibrant colours. Warm reds, yellows and deep blue border makes this a vibrant, lively piece. They are famous among collectors because of their vivid vegetable dyes or soft earth tones that are woven on a geometric pattern.

Heriz carpets have always been regarded as beautiful, tough objects of decoration, made in the north-west of Persia these handwoven works of art always have variations from one piece to another. Some draw influences from further north into the Caucasus and vivid colours like this particular carpet.  A decorative yet practical carpet which has been used for over 100 years and stood the test of time.
