Description

This lovely carpet is exceptional in many ways. It dates to the early 19th century, and was probably made for the Persian market or at least a Persian clientele. It has retained the freshness of colours, especially the wonderful green border. The repeat Mina Khani design in the field is drawn spaciously and elegantly. This carpet has great presence and would suit many decorative setting. It has has had some restoration in the past, all of which has been very professionally executed, and sympathetic to the character of the carpet. Clean and ready for immediate use.
