A lovely antique Persian Malayer rug, handwoven in west Persia circa 1920 with an all over design of stylised flowering vines on a deep indigo field and ivory border. Note the small birds hiding in the design (see photos). Great secondary colours and full of charm!
Size: 2.00m x 1.37m (6ft 7in x 4ft 6in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
