A fabulous and early antique Kurdish Kelleh rug, handwoven circa 1850 with a repeating geometrical design on a deep indigo field. Lovely dyes and fabulous wool quality.
Size 3.45m x 1.58m (11ft 4in x 5ft 2in)
This rug has medium even wear which is heavier in places, with the foundation visible in a few places (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
