Description

Size: 7ft 5in x 4ft 1in (227 x 125cm).

Antique Anatolian Yahyali rug with traditional large medallion design.

Circa 1900.

A very good example of this classic design with a rustic village charm, the medallion is on a soft copper red ground.

The colours are outstanding and work really well with this bold design, the border really compliments the rich red field. The border design has an early archaic feel.

Good condition with even wear and good pile, there is corrosion to the browns.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
