Antique Kashmir Silk Carpet

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a fabulous silk rug dating from the early 20th Century. It is extremely finely woven in very lustrous silk, making it a joy to look at. Its design is well drawn and the colour palette is beautiful. The carpet has a warm ivory flower filled field with central stepped pole medallion design featuring a delightful bronze, a chartreuse green and pretty pinks. This is in excellent clean condition and looks great down on the floor but would equally make a beautiful wall hanging.

The carpet measures 167 cms by 100 cms.
