A beautiful small Tabriz rug woven around 1920 with a classic Tabriz repeating Palmette design. The condition is exceptional,  with lush pile throughout.  Although not signed,  it could be from the Benlian production - the colours and quality are exactly right and as you may know,  not all Benlian Tabriz carpets were signed - we have a larger signed example here and you can see enormous similarities.We provide excellent rug underlay included in the price of any of our rugs, which aids to keep the rug flat and secure on the floor.  It also provides more durability to a rug and helps it from getting more wear, as your foot is evenly planted on the rug when walking upon it.Rugs and carpets have been made in Tabriz for centuries, but it has only been a major producer since the mid 19th century.  A wonderful decorative persian rug.
