Superb Quality Antique Edwardian Chippendale Mahogany Dressing Table with Secret Compartments C1900 Wdb100/9.4

Description

This is a lovely antique edwardian chippendale mahogany dressing table and dating from aorund 1900. Constructed from superb quality mahogany it has an oval bevelled mirror set within a mahogany frame on double turned column supports topped with turned finials and with a carved back rail with carved & moulded edge to the table top. There is a drawer to the centre and two drawers to each pedastal all of which are mahogany lined and with quality brass & gilt handles. It stands on elegant cabriole legs which are carved to teh shoulders on a pad foot.

To each corner of the back rail there is a sliding section which contains a secret spring loaded compartment. This is a most unusual feature and belies the quality of manufacture of this lovely dressing table.

Please note that the photographs do not do it justice and it has a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the chippendale period.

We also have a matching triple wardrobe and washstand available.

It measures: 62" high X 30" to table top X 25" deep X 51" wide X knee height 23"
