A stunning example of an antique Art Deco carpet, hand woven in Tianjin, north-east China, circa 1920’s with a simple design of floral sprays, hanging lantern, birds and butterflies on a lovely gold field and mid blue border.
Size: 3.15m x 2.71m (10ft 4in x 8ft 11in)
This carpet is in good overall condition with good pile. Fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. A few small surface marks (see photos).
