A magnificent Isfahan carpet, handwoven in western Persia circa 1920 with a design of scrolling floral vines and a particularly attractive arabesque border. Finely woven with Kurk wool (8x7 knots per cm) on a silk foundation.
Size: 3.15m x 2.05m (10ft 4in x 6''ft 9in)
This rug is in good overall condition with very light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges have been secured and it has been professionally cleaned. Very small nick on one side (see photos).
