A stunning example of a vintage Art Deco carpet, hand woven in Tianjin, north-east China, circa 1920’s with a simple design of floral sprays, hanging lantern, birds and butterflies on a navy blue field and burgundy red border.
Size: 3.57m x 2.69m (11ft 8in x 8ft 10in)
This carpet is in original condition with good pile. The fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. A couple of surface marks which are barely visible.
