Description

This is a very nice example of a Turkman Tekke carpet dating from around 1930. The carpet has five rows of seven Tekke gul medallions and a fairly bright colour palette with a burnt orange shade present as well as the more usual madder red, indigo and ivory. A very smart and characterful piece, this is in excellent condition with a nice even soft pile and measures a generous 308 cms by 220 cms.
