Description

This is a fabulously rustic antique Anatolian Kilim carpet dating from around 1900. Kilims are flat weave carpets made by interweaving the warp and weft strands and much collected these days. This one has a delightfully subdued colour palette with soft brick, light indigo, ivory and a charcoal shade all employed. It features many typical Kilim motifs such as amulets, scorpions and various animals. In great condition for its age, this is a very characterful rug with a lot of charm.

It measures a generous 424 cms x by 200 cms.
