Description

This is a very nice example of an antique Heriz carpet which dates from around 1920. The carpet has a wonderfully warm colour palette with some attractively subdued shades. The main field is a soft brick colour, it has a dramatic star shaped medallion to the centre and geometric floral design throughout in shades of indigo and ivory. The carpet is in great condition for its age, an even pile overall with one or two areas where the pile is slightly lower. All ends and selvedges good. It is a very good room size measuring 356 cms by 265 cms and it would bring great character and warmth to a room.
