Size: 3ft 2in x 1ft 8in (96 x 50cm).

Antique Afghan Baluch balisht of scarce design, balisht were storage bags used to keep either grain or personal belongings in.

Circa 1890.

The bag has an unusual design on a camel ground with a traditional Baluch border. The bag retains is striped plain weave back, so could be filled and used as a cushion. The bag retains a cloth label showing that it at some time passed through the hands of the notable Austrian collector / dealer Adil Besim of Vienna.

The bag is in good condition with even wear and medium pile.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
