Description

Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 4in (174 x 101cm).

Antique Caucasian Daghestan rug with floral lattice on a dark indigo blue ground.

Circa 1900.

A superb example of this well known group of rugs, this rug has excellent colour and is very well drawn with a lattice and shrub design..

The rug has a classic Caucasian main border and the use of yellow and green give a very light feel that compliments the dark indigo in the field. The yellow in the inner reciprocal border is outstanding.

The rug has very slight even wear and good pile, the rug retains the original kilim end finishes at both ends.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
