This is a very pretty rug with a jewel-like quality to it. Rows of beautiful botehs on a sapphire field framed by a delightful border of repeating palmettes and blossoms on a rose background. The weave is very fine and the wool has the grainy texture associated with the famous Haji Jalili workshop. This rug has been cherished through the generations and has survived in remarkable condition. There is an even velvety pile. Sides and ends are original and intact. It has been professionally cleaned and is ready for immediate use. This fine piece would work equally well on a wall or floor and in many settings.
