Grand Tour Bronze Of Ephebe The Lamp Bearer

Good quality Grand Tour patinated bronze of Ephebe (or youth) as a Lamp Bearer. The original was excavated in 1925 from the House of Ephebe, named after this statue, in Pompeii and is now displayed, fully reunited with his originally missing lamp holder at the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. Early version probably produced soon after 1925 as it does not incorporate the lamp section. Italy, probably Naples, circa 1930.
