Size: 3ft 8in x 2ft 7in (113 x 78cm).

Antique Jaf Kurd bag face of diamond lattice design with good colour and large size.

Circa 1890.

The bag face is well drawn with a hooked medallion lattice, the bag has a floral rosette design main border and a boxed star inner border on a ivory ground. Note the somewhat quirky design where the inner border meets the field. Was the weaver just having fun or was it a novice weaver. Never the less it adds to the visual attraction of the bag face.

The bag face is in good condition with some wear and good long glossy pile, there is some corrosion to the browns. Note the decorative panel at the upper end. The bag face is of large size.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
