Antique Jaf Kurd Saddle Bag Face, Diamond Lattice Design, Circa 1890.

Description

Size: 2ft 3in x 2ft 0in (68 x 60cm).

Antique Jaf Kurd bag face of diamond lattice design with good colour and superb wool.

Circa 1890.

The bag face is well drawn with a hooked medallion lattice, the bag has a zig-zag design main border on an ivory ground. Note the single white diamond in the center of the bag.

The bag face is in outstanding condition with slight even wear and good pile. Note the closing lappets are retained at the top end and the decorative panel at the lower end. The bag face has a floppy handle.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
