E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A shaped sided compartment below having a hinged lid with moulded edge and moulded base also having an inlaid stringing to front. The top having a low upstand to back and a satinwood outline banding with a moulded edge. One long and 4 short mahogany and cedar lined drawers with satinwood outline banding and brass fret cut decorated back plates to the scrolled drop handles. The flanking stiles with satinwood banded frames. The kneehole having an arched support same between the legs front and sides. The 8 square tapered legs topped by satinwood inlaid frames over square collars with the same inlay below. All standing on spade feet with brass square cup castors.
