Good Antique Kirman Carpet Room Size 380 Cms X 280 Cms

Description

This is a wonderful room size antique Kirman carpet dating from around 1920. The carpet has a traditional design with ornate central medallion set within a flower filled field and enclosed by deep borders, also flower filled, featuring a cartouche motif. The carpet has a subtle and warm colour palette with deep shades of madder and ivory as well as some elements of warm yellow, to the medallion centre and pistachio to the border which really lift it.

This is an excellent quality finely woven carpet. It has a little wear to the selvedges and fringes, the main body of the carpet being in very good condition. This measures 380 cms x 280 cms and would add great charm and warmth to a large reception room.
