Antique Persian Embroidery, 88cm X 87cm

Description

This delightful Persian embroidery from Kirman displays a mastery of colour technique. The dyes are simply incredible, rich and saturated. Woven in wool this pateh duzi was probably made to be used as a small sofreh or table cloth. But it has obviously been cherished through the generations and has survived in excellent condition. Note the wonderful drawing of the design, particularly the sunburst medallion, which is intricate and rich in detail. A little gem. Would look wonderful mounted on the wall or as a table cover.
