Antique Persian Bijar rug of traditional all over herati design with excellent natural dyed colours.
Circa 1880.
The rug has excellent soft pastel colour with an ivory ground covered in the herati design.
As with most older Bijar weavings this rug is on a wool foundation.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile. This is a superb furnishing rug that could either work as a small room size carpet or as a large rug. The colour palette gives it great flexibility for use in any design style as the soft colours will blend well with almost every colour scheme that you choose.
The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic floor use.
