An outstanding example of a Malayer rug with the 'Harshang' design on an dark indigo ground.
Circa 1900.
The borders of the rug are detailed and very well drawn, with the main border being an ivory ground floral design. The rug has a superb colour palette which glows against the midnight blue Indigo.

This is a superb example of village workshop weaving that will grace the finest room and compliment either antique or contemporary furnishing styles.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
